S.W. SNOWDEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | CONTRIBUTED FALL FIELD TRIP: The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes from S. W. Snowden had an exceptionally good time at Southside Farms recently. The students learned about what types of foods are grown on the farm, as well as during what seasons they are harvested. Each class made its own scarecrow, went on a hayride, played in a corn box and, of course, everyone picked a pumpkin. This trip was a wonderful opportunity to experience firsthand what the SWS students have been learning in school about agriculture. Pictured, teachers Stacia Abbe (left) and Cathy Brown (right) sit with S.W. Snowden’s Pre-Kindergarteners as they participate in a hayride at Southside Farms.
