National Smile Week was initially organized as a way to promote dental health, but over recent years it has taken off to mean even more.

Studies show that making yourself smile even when you don’t feel like it can life your mood, and your physical health can improve since smiling boosts the immune system.

It really isn’t hard to find something to smile about.

For some folks, just the mention of a favorite hobby or activity will light up their face. Others remember good times spent with friends, favorite vacation spots or even a book or a movie that always puts them in a good mood.

And everyone knows that someone who smiles is much more attractive than someone who walks around with a grumpy expression all the time. No amount of make-up can hide that!
