Washington hosted its annual Sprint and Olympic-length triathlons on Saturday morning in Washington Park. The races took place on a sunny morning with the beautiful Pamlico River serving as a backdrop. Todd Midgett, of Wilmington, won the Sprint triathlon and Kory Gray, of Raleigh, placed first in the Olympic triathlon. Both men topped their respective races last year, too.
