SWAN QUARTER — Hyde County Manager Bill Rich accepted the resignation of Teresa Adams, public information officer and deputy clerk, effective July 1.

Adams served Hyde County since November 2015. The county would like to thank her for the years of service and wish her a happy retirement.

Information Technology Manager Donnie Shumate has been appointed as the new public information officer and deputy clerk. He will also continue to serve as the information technology manager.
