Help us Shine the Light

To the Editor:

Our ministry provides hope for the hurting while spreading the Word of Jesus Christ. Our passion is cooking and serving fresh, delicious food. We are a small business, having been established August 2016, and know with God’s help we will be prosperous.

This month on Aug. 25, we will be hosting an all-day event SHINE THE LIGHT 2018 at Festival Park in Washington, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. We’ll be serving barbecue sandwiches, a bag of chips and a canned drink or bottle of water, all free of charge. We will have guest speakers giving their testimonies and also have four live bands throughout the day. Several support groups from our surrounding area including Beaufort County will be participating as well. They will have small tents set up with various exhibits of resources available to those with families and/or loved ones who are struggling with drug addictions or alcoholism or for those struggling themselves.

The purpose of this event is to Shine Our Lights and let people all around us know that “They are not alone” and “We care!” Many people get caught up in addictions and do not realize they can get help and beat it, coming out stronger than ever before. That’s what we want to help them see, and show them love.

This event is for everybody! We are requesting drinks and/or waters to be donated for this event, if possible. We’re also in need of hamburger buns and bags of chips, as well. Napkins will also be needed. We will be very grateful for any donation of any size, whether monetary or food.

Please also know that you and your family are invited too! Feel free to make your church family aware and invite them to come. The ultimate goal of SHINE THE LIGHT 2018 is to bring awareness to our community and bring our families and friends together, to spread love through our communities.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated as we are striving to build the Kingdom of God, one by one. Please help us to help others. One day you could be affected by someone with an addiction if you’re not already. Thank you so very much for your time. God bless!

We sincerely thank you for your support.
