CHOCOWINITY — Celebrating the season, Chocowinity Primary School hosted its second-annual Brave Fest fall carnival Nov. 19.

The  event included games, cake walks, face painting, a rock climbing wall and other fun activities. Those in attendance were invited to dine on hot dogs and tacos, and the family-night-out celebration also showcased the school’s book fair.

“It’s a fundraiser for our school,” said CPS PTO president Angela Haltigan. “The profits will go toward purchasing educational materials for the children. We’ve worked hard to pull this off with help from teachers and volunteers.”

Among those volunteers were students from Chocowinity Middle School and Southside

High School, many of whom attended Chocowinity Primary School.
