The Arts of the Pamlico’s staff has been busily preparing the historic Turnage Theatre for the storm and will be closed for the week beginning on Thursday.

Artwork has been removed from the walls and is being picked up by artists or stored and the basement has been cleared of props and flats.

No Beaufort County Traditional Music Association jams will occur on Thursday evening or Saturday morning.

The Broadway HD production of “Les Miserables” on the big screen will not be shown on Friday afternoon due to the storm.

The “Cats and Kittens” theater show auditions are being delayed. Watch for details.

The installation of the donated dance floor by the USA Dance Chapter 6046 has been moved back a week.

The September 2018 Sundays in the Park free outdoor concert scheduled for this Sunday in Festival Park, with the band Rural Route Romance, has been moved to Sept. 15 at the same time, 2 p.m.

The art drop-off for upcoming shows are being moved back. As is the art exhibit opening for September 2019 for the Allan Weaver/MJ Peters and Greenville Brushstrokes shows. The opening reception has been moved from Sept. 11 to Sept. 18 from 5:30-7 p.m.
And AOP’s new afterschool arts enrichment program, BRAVO!, will begin on Sept. 9 instead of Sept. 6. Registration is open for remaining slots; scholarships available. Contact Crystal at c.holmanaop@gmail.com.

AOP plans to reopen as usual the following week, if all is well, next Tuesday at 1 p.m.
