Athletic Edge hosts carnival for kids with special needs

Hundreds of students from Beaufort and Martin counties received a special treat this week as Athletic Edge Sports and Fitness hosted its annual Winter Carnival for Children with Special Needs. With more than 45 student volunteers from Washington High School assisting, the event featured a variety of offerings ranging from dancing, basketball and soccer to calmer activities like coloring and face painting. While Beaufort County students visited Friday, Martin County Schools brought kids on Thursday.
