Washington parents have New Years baby at ECU Health

Kaitlyn and James Braddy, of Washington, welcomed their son Owen to the world at 12:10 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville. Owen weighs five pounds and two ounces. He is 18.5 inches long, ECU Health shared.

“We are delighted to welcome Owen and wish his family all the best,” ECU Health wrote in a press release.

In 2022, ECU Health and Women’s Services at Maynard Children’s Hospital delivered more than 3,900 babies.

Women’s Services specializes in care for pregnant women, including high-risk antepartum (before birth), labor and delivery, and postpartum (after birth) care. ECU Health Medical Center also delivers more than 3,600 babies each year, making it the largest birthing center in eastern North Carolina; serves as the regional referral center for high-risk pregnancies; offers eastern North Carolina’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), as part of the James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center; and supports our community as a Baby Friendly Hospital.
