Oct. 11 turned up a second drug arrest when investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit spotted the vehicle of another suspect in Chocowinity, according to the drug unit’s spokesman.

Investigators had earlier made two controlled purchases of cocaine from Quentin Bernard Corbett, 29, of 5109 Gaskins Road, Grimesland, and had warrants for Corbett’s arrest at the time, the spokesman said. When investigators saw Corbett’s vehicle leaving the residence, they served the warrants and a further search of the vehicle produced marijuana, according to the spokesman.

Corbett was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and was confined in the Beaufort County jail under a $6,500 secured bond.
