Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.  All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. The Shelter will be closed on Good Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30, in observance of Easter. Eleanor Eleanor is a shorthair grey, buff and black, 2-year-old Tabby. She is very calm, loving, super clean and a lover of laps and purring. Eleanor is in need of a good forever home and her only request is that she is the only cat in the household.  Eleanor will be available through Tuesday, April 2. Queenie and Farrah Queenie and Farrah are 5-month-old Labrador-Sheppard mix sisters. They are very sweet and loving babies that love to play, fetch, nuzzle, cuddle and have their bellies scratched. Both puppies have soft coats; Queenie’s is black with tan accents and Farrah’s is all black. Both pups would be great with any kind of family, young or old.  Come play with these babies at the shelter and fall in love today!
