John Cotton Tayloe Elementary School’s Annual Grandparents Day Celebration

JOHN COTTEN TAYLOE | CONTRIBUTED THE ELDERS: John Cotten Tayloe Elementary School held our annual Grandparent’s  Day Celebration on Sept. 17. Grandparents visited with their grandchild’s class, took pictures with a provided backdrop and enjoyed quality time with their grandchild. Punch and treats were provided. Grandparents Day is a day to show appreciation for our grandparents. It‛s also a day to help children of all ages become aware of the strength, wisdom and guidance that older people can offer. Grandparents Day was proclaimed by President Jimmy Carter in 1979.
