Beaufort County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a home invasion that occurred last weekend in the Mimosa Mobile Home Park.

At approximately 3 a.m. on May 5, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Jacks Street in the Mimosa Mobile Home Park in reference to a robbery.

Once on scene, deputies learned that the victim was struck multiple times by the suspects before they stole money and a 32-inch TV. The victim stated the two suspects were wearing masks, but could not give much more detail about their appearances other than a general description of clothing.

According to BCSO Lt. Jim Vanlandingham, who cited a police report on the incident, the victim was asleep in her bedroom when she heard a disturbance. Upon going into her living room, she found a man in black clothes and a black ski mask rummaging through her purse.

Vanlandingham went on to say that the victim did not suffer significant injuries during the assault and refused medical attention. He further stated that the victim was unable to identify a mode of transportation or a direction of travel the suspects took after leaving the home.
