TIMELY DISPLAY: Visitors to Brown Library in Washington may be surprised to find a bookcase not full of books, but full of pets. In honor of February’s designation as “Fix ’em February,” the Humane Society of Beaufort County has set up a display offering information about this month’s reduced rates for spay/neuter procedures at all three of the local animal hospitals. The display also features the Pets of the Week from November 2019 through January. During the month of February, Beaufort County veterinary hospitals will conduct spaying and neutering procedures at reduced rates for cats and dogs. Appointments prior to the operation are required. Call to make your appointment at one of the following veterinary hospitals: Chocowinity Veterinary Hospital, 252-946-9000; Pamlico Animal Hospital, 252-946-2834; Tar River Animal Hospital, 252-946-2417. In addition to the reduced rates, the Humane Society of Beaufort County will give financial assistance where necessary. For more information, call 252-946-1591. This offer is open to residents of Beaufort County. (Humane Society of Beaufort County)
