Out of an abundance of caution and to help protect the public and court staff, Beaufort County announced Wednesday morning that the courthouse and clerk of superior court’s office would be closed for the rest of the day due to an exposure to COVID-19, but would reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10.

All district criminal court sessions have been canceled for the remainder of this week and the week of Dec. 14-18. Cases scheduled during this time will be rescheduled for a later date.
