Colored men and women, he was a Republican. What he failed to do was to put laws in place to protect them. They were hung, beaten, burned, killed and could not vote. They had to enter through the back of restaurants to eat. Dr. Martin Luther King came along with President Johnson to sign them the right to vote and eat in a restaurant. A perfect example of the colored man and woman not being protected by American law is when two white men in Money, Mississippi went into a black man’s house in the middle of the night and kidnapped a 14-year-old boy. They beat and killed him and threw him in muddy water. They went to trial and were found not guilty. I say to the NAACP and SCLC, you need to take up where Dr. King left off and get with the president and governors of these 50 states and fight for your people to have the same rights and protection as the white man has in America. I say to all the men and women of color, get out and vote. Know something about these people you are voting for.
