I was astounded by Walter Williams’ hypocrisy in his Sunday column, where he ranted against taxpayer-funded benefits, considering he has been receiving these benefits his entire life. He was raised in taxpayer-funded public housing and got all his education at taxpayer-funded colleges. He has spent his entire career as a professor at taxpayer-funded universities.
I’m calling about the junkyard on U.S. Highway 17 Business near Whichard’s Beach Road. Once again, it’s overflowing. I would just like to know why the city of Washington can’t keep an eye on it and enforce its rules and regulations.
Congratulations to Dr. Inzerillo and his staff at the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center for an awesome Cancer Survivors Day. Our community is blessed to have such caring, compassionate people.
I was in the Harding Square rose garden Monday morning and noticed that the bench that was already broken is now broken even more and the one on the other side has now been broken. I think there’s always security needed in there when there is special events. Whatever it takes to protect it.
