This is directed to the person whose Sound Off was in Saturday’s paper. You would not think the NCAA was stupid if your son was one of the many boys who were molested by that pedophile. What Joe Paterno and the school’s officials did by covering up — just to save the school from a scandal at that point in time — was not a mistake. That was an atrocity, and you don’t punish an atrocity the same way you punish a mistake.
