Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.

It’s a shame that the Daily News did not follow the 12U Washington group. It did very well in Florida, and I think it should have had some earlier coverage. You may have some later, but it should have been before that.

Personally, I am boycotting Chic-fil-A because of its stance. This is not the 1950s. This is 2012, almost 2013. I am not going to tell you not to go. I don’t believe in forcing my views upon other people unlike other people. But, personally, I’m boycotting Chic-fil-A. It’s time for people to understand this is not the 1950s and this is 2012, 2013, the 21st century. Get over it.

I’d like to give my call and say I’m thankful for a company like the CEO of Chic-fil-A, that the man is willing to take a stand for what he believes in. I’m disgusted the gay rights and all. I’d also like to state that if the Democratic Party puts an amendment or charter in that the party, as a whole, is opposed to marriage between a man and a wife and they’re supporting gay marriage — the Democratic Party is supporting gay marriage — my wife and I will no longer be a Democrat. We have been Democrats all our lives — 50-some years of voting — but as of this year, we will no longer be a Democrat.

Really enjoyed Mike Voss’ “Push-Up” article — bright and witty. It is one of his best to date.
