I picked up a copy of the County Compass, basically a Pamlico County paper, and I can’t believe how Hood Richardson is blasting our sheriff, Alan Jordan, in there. He won’t do it in our local paper because everybody would see just how smart he is. And it seems like the sheriff needs to find some way to arrest him and put him in jail. But I guess you can’t arrest anybody for a big mouth and stupidity. That’s just what Hood Richardson is.

 

I have bad news for the people who think that the destruction of Blounts Creek is outweighed by the creation of jobs. Martin Marietta is closing a mine in another county so those people will follow the job to Beaufort’s mine. They will work the new mine, Beaufort County will get zero jobs and lose an invaluable asset.
