The Valentine’s Day event at the assisted living facility in Columbia featured formal attire, limousine rides, JROTC sword ceremony over red carpet, photo booth, steak and shrimp dinner, royalty crowning, and a dance in decorated settings.

Herman Basnight, resident of Tyrrell House, was escorted from a limousine by Tyrrell County Commissioner Nina Griswell as the festive Valentine’s Day Prom began in the assisted living facility on Feb. 14. A steak and shrimp dinner were followed by royalty crowning and a dance.
